This week we will be focusing on a feature that a lot of companies need to incorporate, but few rarely use, and that is job costing. Job costing is a way to track your revenues and costs that are generated on a per job basis. Then, using that information, you determine the profitability of each job. With QXpress, you have the ability to track revenue and cost by job, or even by crew, to see which crews are more efficient and which crews are more profitable. In order to calculate job costing through QXpress, you will need to be tracking your payroll through QuickBooks and also using inventory and non-inventory items.
