Filtering Technician Schedule

I am wondering if it is possible to filter down our technicians' schedules so they can only see jobs that have certain statuses. For example, when our techs look at the schedule we would like them only to see their schedule and only see jobs that are given the status update "dispatched" which is a status we added recently. We do not want them to see any jobs with the "not started" or "completed" status. How can we set that up?

Method is my only backup

Hey guys-

my computer crashed and i had to reinstall everything from the OS on up. Unfortunately, my backup program sucks (Memeo Autobackup) and it purged my backup company file. The last good file i have is from july 11th.

If i perform a complete sync Method --> QB I'm hoping all the same data is there and i can load it back into my qb file. Im worried that Method will delete the newer stuff and make it mirror my july 11th company file. Will it do that? Or will it, as i hope, reupdate my qb file to where it was before my crash. Also, are there any data pieces that will be missing? Im using QB 2008.

Customize Templates

I would like to ask some help about customizing the route list report (customize templates).

I would like to add a couple of customized fields (like door codes and notes) from the Customer data to my route list report but I cannot find these fields available when I customized my list report. Please advise.

BUG-Edit Series

I tried searching the forum for a post that describes my problem; but I didn't have any luck..

This is what is happening:

1. I enter a new work order and I have it to reoccur every three weeks. Everything works fine until I have to edit the entire series. For example a customer called this morning and wanted our guys to remember to bring the key to get into the pond area.

2. I opened QXO and choose All Occurences; Search by last name: Lynch.

3. This brought up all of her work orders.

4. I clicked on Edit Series under her first job listed and added the notes to Work Order Instructions and choose Save & Close.

5. Just to be sure it updated the rest of the work orders, I double checked a few to make sure it was listed and it was.

6. However when I go to print the next work order that hasn't started, the work order comes up without my new notes on it! It still has the old notes listed! I click beside the work order I want to print (Jul-15-2010), choose the Print/Email Tab, I choose Selected Only, then Print Work Orders.

What do I need to do to make sure the new work order instructions print out?

User Names--Can they be edited?

If I assign a recurring work order to a user, say John, and John leaves my employment some time down the road, can I change his user name to whoever the new user is, say Mike, and it will automatically change all of the open recurring work orders to Mike? Or do I have to manually change all of John's open work orders to Mike?

How will QXpress perform?

Hello all. I have been researching QXpress recently and still have questions about how it will perform. We are a label printer (think 'light manufacturing') and I am concerned our operation is too complex for QXpress. None of the case studies on the QXpress website relate to what we do.

Anyone out there dealt with this program in a manufacturing setting?

When I enter a purchase order in the vendor list and check off to be approve and click on save. Is there another tab to click on to approve the purchase order? Where does the purchase go?

CustomerQueryRq

In part of my program I run a CustomerQueryRq and return a fitlered list of return values. It runs very well and has for years.

Recently I've noticed two PC's on different customer networks with a problem where the list only returns CustomerShipLine1 and CustomerCompanyName but nothing else. I can't replicate it in any dev environment so it is tough to debug through it. Once it starts happening on a PC it happens consistenly. I output the list into atext file so I can see the raw XML and sure enough it only returns those values.

Both of these PC's are Windows7 32bit.

I tried running two different SDK's , one from a long time ago (1.5.0.32) and a recent one (1.5.0.132) they both do the exact same thing. So I don't think this is an SDK issue.

I uninstalled Qxpress and reinstalled it and this does not impact the result.

It works fine on a lot of other machines.The software is on a variety of Windows7, Wwindows Vista and WindowsXP machines and they all run fine, it's just these two machines so far.

Any ideas where to start debugging this one?

Would a copy of the return XML stream help?

How do I enable Open Invoicing

We have historically used true invoicing but would like to switch to open..

I went into preferences / invoices / checked open invoicing.

It didn't seem to make any change the next time I ran invoices.

Screen issue with firefox but looks different in ie expl

Were changes made to the mobile tab and screens?

On Tuesday afternoon, my custom mobile tab was working fine. While I was updating a record, the screen locked. I hit refresh and the mobile tab was gone. I logged out and back in and the tab was back but suddently not working. The first thing I noticed was the background was changed to blue--even though my screen was customized and I didn't make any changes. Now the select button on the mobile work order screen stop working.

I changed my mobile workorder tab back to the default QXPress screen and noticed it is now also blue; however, it select link does work.

Did something or someone change that screen or tab yesterday? Could it be responsible for my customer workorder screen suddently changing to blue and breaking the select link?

I put several hours of work into that screen so any suggestions/info would be greatly appreciated.

Another edit series question

I am having difficulty editing/adding work order instructions after setting up a series of recurring work orders. After they are saved, if I go into edit series and type the new info in the work order instructions box, it does not copy to any of the occurances. Please advise how to do this.

Customers getting doubled charged for items

How to include purchase orders on work orders

I have a button that was created to loop through all my customers and update a field named zone based on the customer's zip code. When I run this, it works fine for a while and then a message appears at the top of the window that says "Processing record 500 of 721" Once that message shows up, it appears to stop processing and the remaining 221 records do not get processed. Is there a limit to the number of records that can be processed at once or is this a bug?

Need help with action button

I've created a simple action button that is supposed to add a numberical value to a Chlorine field. It works when using my laptop but it doesn't work using my mobile phone.

So far, all the other mobile screen buttons and actions work (Save button, etc.) with my WM 6.1 phone but this action button doesn't seem to work.

It is on the Mobile Tab, in the Work Orders screen, you can select any work order of James Stapleton, goto the Conditions tab and use the +.5 button.

Also, the +1 and -1 buttons won't work at all. The action sets are nearly identical to the working actions sets. Any advice would be apprecaited.

The support userid is active.

Printing out my calendar, no way to format to fit

Hello;
I want to print out my schedule from my calendar in 5 day view with time on top , but it will not allow me to set up page setup, so that it will fit on one sheet of paper. I even tried to use legal sized paper, but it still thinks it is 8x 11 and cuts off a section. If I change the view to 50% zoom, it fits, but is too small to read. Also there is no print preview to print out the calendar view.

Email Signature Template Problem with Inserting Images

Adding a picture to an email signature isn’t working for me and at least one of my franchisees. Here’s the deal: when we go to set up the email template and browse for the image to include in the signature (a logo) it gives us an error message saying there’s a part missing in the path. The problem is that the path that it shows AND the name of the file in the path are completely wrong and non-existent. We've even looked to see if perhapes the MethodData folder shown in the example below is a hidden folder...it is not. Also, the file type that we're trying to insert can be any file type (gif, jpeg, bmp) it doesn't matter, it always gives us an incorrect path in the error message and an incorrect file neme. See below for examples:

Could not find a part of the path 'C:\MethodData\MethodIntegrationWeb\AccountPages\TemplateOnline\Images\bmd0uotm.jpg'.

Could not find a part of the path 'C:\MethodData\MethodIntegrationWeb\AccountPages\TemplateOnline\Images\xqzgcysy.gif'.

Got ideas?

QX Online. Working in my calendar this error showed up above the calendar; document.getelementbyld("aspxpagecontrol_drpactiveview1026127104")is null.

To see this error.

Change settings, like date, then the error shows up at the top of the screen.

I was unable to duplicate this error in any other caleandar.

All the computers I use on the method site have the same error.

Calender colors not working as of today
