How do I go about setting up credit card processing. I want customers to be able to log in and pay use a credit card. I know I've seen informtion on using the credit card processing through the API, but how do I set it up in a customer portal?

How exactly did you want to credit card processing to work?  Did you want it so it links back to QuickBooks because if so I recommend that you look at the invoice Screen as this screen contains the steps to charge Credit Cards.  If that doesn't work can you give me an example so I can send you in the right direction.

Where on the invoice screen can I charge a credit card?

I want it to work basically the same as someone who signs up for method... the customer goes to the web page enters their credit card info and the money shows up in the bank account and the transaction shows up in QB (Thru Method).

To do this you will need to place a Recevied Payment (or custom screen like it) in the 3rd Party Postal section and then you will be able to receive payments online.

I've looked into the credit card processing action.  It lists the need to use PSI gateway or Electra cash.  Do you have website addresses or contact info for these processors?  The only Electra cash that I could find doesn't do credit cards but does do check processing.

Yes PSI Gate and Electra Cash are currently the only 2 supported by QXOnline paypal and intuit merchant services are coming soon. In terms of the websites I found them through google. psigate.com and electracash.com both seem to work with credit card processes. So I am not sure which site you found for electracash.

Do you have a provider that you are using now?  We do expect to have Authorized.net, PayPal and Intuit Merchant Services all in there by late fall.

Yes -- I currently use Google Checkout -- I have for several years.  They work well for my needs.

Anyway, to answer your question, I use Intuit and would prefer to stay with them.  Do you have them setup yet?

Hey James -

No progress on this yet.  But it is coming, I promise!  We've got so many projects on the go right now that we to finish off first.

Right now we are putting the finishing touches the Outlook add in, Web Forms for lead collection, and the Mobile version.  Next step is Mapping, Intuit Merchant Services, PayPal and Authorize.net + all the regular improvements to the platform and all the apps.  We've increased our team recently, so these are actually getting done faster now. 

I'm hoping we can get something out to you in January.

 Unfortunately, I don't have anything new to report on this.  The team working on that part got delayed by getting the Outlook add-in into beta.  Once this goes into Beta, they will be working on this next.  Check back in a month (if you don't mind).
