I bet you guys are kicking yourselves for not making a iphone app now.

I tried to tell you. Now the new ipad runs off of software similar to the iphone. Its a netbook size with a much better UI. And i will be replacing my netbook with one in march. But the real question is, will you guys?

Yes it can see access the internet for qxonline. But who wants cloud computing. What happens when your servers go down? Or when the internet goes down. Several times a year my ISP crashes for a few days. i would be screwed if i was only able to work from online w/o some kind of hard backup.

    Answer

As programmers, and users of tech gadgets, we love iPhones and think the iPad has a good chance of making a dent in the marketplace.

We are not ruling out making a hardcoded iPhone app.  However, right now our focus is on the following:

    1. Browser based software, since this is a web based application.  We now have it working in Windows Mobile browsers, and on the next update (I’m expecting next week) you’ll see iPhone Safari browsers and Android browser support.  So, QXO has been optimized now for iPhones and iPads – it just requires you to use a web browser.

    2. Customizable software.  QX Online is all about letting users create their own screens and business processes.  This is not something you can do easily when it is a hard coded program, like an installed iPhone app.  We believe in freedom for our users to create their own app, which is what Safari provides, without having to be a programmer.

    3. Rugged hardware.  Being in the field service industry, if we do make hard coded apps, our first focus would be aimed towards devices that can be dropped, rubbed around with mud, run over by trucks, etc…….I’m looking forward to seeing an “i(ndustructable)Pad”!!
