We really would like to thank you again for your patience as we try to correct the situation of QXPress email service. As of right now you can send your work orders, invoices and route lists to the any of the recipients that are expected to receive your emails. During our research we noticed when sending an email from your company email or personal (gmail, yahoo, aol etc.) to whomever the recipient would be, will arrive in their spam folder. Please keep in mind we understand how valuable this feature is to our customers and we working hard to correct the situation. Below will be instructions on how to make sure your email is set up properly.
Here are some easy steps to set up the server settings:
When sending out invoices or work orders/route lists, press the send email in your print preview screen, you will now see “Select forms to email”.
Next step will be to click the “Server Settings”
Now you will see another box pop up “Edit Email Server Settings. In this box you can follow each line and fill out the required credentials.
*Note if you see “Send Grid” in any of the boxes, you can replace that information with your email information.
The steps provided are to help you set your email up to get your invoices or work orders out to their destination. While we are still trying to correct the issue, please inform your employees and customers to either check their Inbox or Spam folder. While many clients are using Qxpress on Windows 8 successfully, we do have a group of installs that are not working as designed in a Windows 8 environment. While we are continuing to research the root cause of the install issues, we do not have a resolution availible at this time. We are currently unable to list Windows 8 as an approved/supported platform as a result.
We have completed testing for QuickBooks 2013 and also have found a permanent solution to the Windows update issue. All existing clients have been emailed the steps to resolve the issue and a tech article is available as well to walk you through the steps.
Due to Hurricane Sandy our NJ office is closed Monday and Tuesday (10/29 and 10/30). We do, however, have support staff working remotely during this time to assist in the event you have a crucial issue requiring technical assistance. Please note, due to potential power outages, support availability may be limited at times, so we appreciate your patience in receiving a response.
Currently Windows 8 is now being tested by our Quality Assurance Team. Once we have further information on the functionality of QXpress and Windows 8 we will notify all clients via the blog.
